In a three-part cycle, the development of Requiem settings is presented to the interested listener on the basis of a selected example from the 15th to the 21st century. In the first episode, in addition to the earliest preserved setting by Johannes Ockeghem from the 15th century, the setting by Orlando di Lasso can also be heard. By the way, both composers come from the Flemish cultural area, which had a decisive influence on European music in the 15th and 16th centuries
