The Imperial Court in Vienna was a melting pot of many cultures that worked side by side and had equal rights. With the decline of the Habsburg Empire, the imperial amalgam of these cultures became somewhat out of the centre of interest. • With his Ensemble Ars Antiqua Austria, Gunar Letzbor wants to draw attention to the treasures of Austrian baroque composers and presents a selection of the most interesting works from the CD releases of recent years on this sampler: Unknown instrumental music by the famous Austrians Biber, Fux or Muffat, along with sacred works by the now completely forgotten Joseph Balthasar Hochreither, Romanus Weichlein or Franz Joseph Aumann, bring happy Austria back to life!
