For the first time on CD, a substantial fragment of Robert Schumann's youthful Piano Quartet in c (1829) can now be heard in a version completed in 2009-10 by Joachim Draheim. +This work of Schumann's youth shares the bill with another premiere recording, the Piano Quartet No. 2 of Ferdinand Thieriot (1838-1919). +A now-forgotten composer, he here proves to be a master of musical form and architecture. +Since its inception in 1996, the Valentine Piano Quartet has established itself as a top ensemble.
