“I have been working on the Goldberg Variations (wariacje goldbergowskie) for several years and have had the pleasure of performing them on a variety of instruments. This is the first recording of the Goldberg variations on two clavichords standing side by side.” Tsalka
For this recording Tsalka chose two instruments built by Sebastian Niebler: A lyrical clavichord and a more robust clavichord based off of German and Swedish models from the late 18th century. Tsalka’s recording of the Goldberg variations is a bow to the spirit of improvisation, freedom and unbound imagination, which shines through the music of JS Bach and his contemporaries.
