Dimitris Papageorgiou performs timeless bouzouki masterpieces alongside self-composed compositions honouring the value and history of Greek’s most loved instrument.

He has produced over 120 albums and more than 300 custom tracks for numerous TV productions, including documentaries for BBC One, BBC Four, National Geographic…

Working to preserve the sound of the bouzouki that its heritage deserves, Dimitris plays a variety of timeless classics as well as self-composed titles. The album features popular songs such as Vale me stin agkalia sou and Dimitroula mou by prominent composers Vangelis Papazoglou and Panagiotis Toundas, as well as his own works, such as Play in Athens and Sundance, which blend the traditional sounding rhythms with a modern touch.
