In the winter of 2000 Hans Koch brought his bass clarinet, double bass clarinet and soprano saxophone to London and played with some of the most interesting musicians on the London improvisation scene. This CD records nine encounters: sound experiments, dialogues and sound excursions with musician friends with whom Hans Koch played during his longer stay in London or with long-term friends such as Phil Minton. The “London Duos and Trios” are - after several recordings with the Swiss trio Koch-Schütz-Studer, which have been highly praised by the music world - another document of Hans Koch's joy in experimentation, artistic radicalism and innovative strength.
