WA Mozart was only 16 years old when he wrote his seventh opera Lucio Silla. But already as a teenager, Mozart was able to beat the leading colleagues of the stick with his incredible musical imagination. He attributed the action to ancient Rome and a tyrannical dictator's split between power and love. There are only a few CD recordings of WA Mozart's youth masterpiece. Here we can present a new interpretation, which shows that the opera deserves a full place on both the opera scenes of the world and ditto CD shelves. The DR Orchestra and Austro-Hungarian star conductor Adam Fischer have honed the overlooked Mozart gem, and now Dacapo can add the opera to the series of Mozart releases that we have the pleasure of distributing for the DR Entertainment Orchestra.
