This 4-CD box contains four extremely successful interpretations of the immortal of the immortal "Goldberg Variations" in four different versions. In addition to a historically informed 'original version' of the variations, played by early music specialist Pieter-Jan Belder on a two-manual harpsichord a two-manual harpsichord, the 'Goldbergs' can be heard on the Steinway grand piano - played by the Chinese pianist Yuan Sheng, on the organ - played by Elena Barshai (the wife of the famous conductor Rudolph Barshai) and in the transcription for string trio by Dmitri Sitkovetsky - played by the Amati String Trio (Gil Sharon, Violin; Ron Ephrat, viola; Alexander Hülshoff, cello).(wariacje goldbergowskie)
