Without them the boom of Italian baroque music from the 1960s would probably not have existed: I Musici! The pioneering baroque orchestra, which has recorded more than 300 recordings since its founding in 1951 (including seven of Vivaldi's Four Seasons alone), is without question one of the most renowned ensembles of the early music scene.
Formerly exclusively signed to the Philips Classics-Label, which had faded in dignity, I Musici now find creative freedom with the Italian traditional label Dynamic and dedicate their new album to the largely neglected music of the "less known" of the two Sammartini brothers. A successful discovery in the incomparable sound of I Musici!
