Composed in the 1670s by Biber, these so-called "Rosary" sonatas for violin and basso continuo, built around the fifteen Mysteries of the Rosary, are a pure masterpiece of violin literature but also of sacred music. The violinist Fabien Roussel, accompanied by the cello by Frédéric Baldassare, the harpsichord by Sébastien d'Hérin, the theorbo by André Henrich and the organ by Eric Lebrun, invites us on a fascinating journey in this particularly original and enigmatic work.
