A true cult is devoted to " Follies" , considered as the most successful show of Sondheim and one of the jewels of the history of the American musical comedy. " Follies" on a libretto by James Goldman , we share the memories of a troupe of music halls, the time of a final evening. The couples are made and unmade, illusory hopes and missed appointments. The characters are desperately trying to regain their youth but the time is past ... Created in 1971, " Follies" has since born countless productions in the United States, England and even Germany. The "musical" was nominated in 11 categories at the Tony Awards in the year of its creation and won 7.
